THE MUSEUM OF WITCHCRAFT, UK

 

Situated on the scenic North Cornwall coast, the Museum of Witchcraft holds an increasing collection of rare or unique artefacts, books, letters and other items relating to world magical history (not just historical Witchcraft and modern Wicca).  The Museum is open to the public from roughly April to October each year, and the special collections and libraries are open to researchers by prior appointment only. The  Folklore Society, London, UK- a large collection of books, some on magic, many more on stories, which members can borrow or consult, as well as receiving both Folklore and FLS News, which regularly contain articles and notes on magic and witchcraft.

 

Warburg Insitute, London, UK. Internationally-reknowned collections on all aspects of ancient and modern magic. Strictly controlled entry to bona fide researchers only, with letters of introduction required for academics. Check this before traveling.

 

Pitt-Rivers Museum, Oxford, UK. Superb worldwide anthropology, ethnography, etc., artefact collections.

Margaret Murray Collection, University College, London, UK. The papers of Murray, the Witchcraft historian and Egyptologist
